These powerful words are at the core of the Gary Sinise Foundation, an organization dedicated to advocating for and providing programs to America’s hardworking servicemen and women. Veterans, those on active-duty, first responders, and their loved ones are all taken into consideration.
The incredible efforts and courageous sacrifices of our country’s defenders are actions that are honored by the foundation. The foundation offers its support in the form of programs that directly benefit America’s servicemen, women, and their families.
The foundation’s amazing programs provide resources, support, and joy to its recipients. An initiative called R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment) creates uniquely designed smart homes with mobility devices and specialized vehicles for severely wounded heroes. The Lt. Dan Band travels across the country and abroad to boost morale and raise awareness through the power of music. These, and several other programs, help to build a stronger, more united community for America’s heroes.
Founder and actor Gary Sinise has advocated for America’s servicemen and women for over 30 years both on and off-screen. Sinise’s role as Lt. Dan Taylor in the film Forrest Gump helped him to form a deep bond with those in the military community. Sinise created “Lt. Dan Band” in 2003 to celebrate this connection, and has since performed hundreds of concerts around the world. The Gary Sinise Foundation was established in 2011 and continues to raise awareness and funds to support the country’s deserving heroes.
Youngevity’s President, Dave Briskie, believes strongly in the efforts of America’s servicemen and women.
